Music Fills the Air at Vermont History Expo in June

The Vermont History Expo will feature music on two stages at the Tunbridge Fairgrounds — the Gazebo in the main area of the fairgrounds and on the hill near the log cabin and crafters. The Expo takes place at the Tunbridge Fairgrounds June 18 and 19.

Vermont Historical Society’s Expo coordinator, Amanda Gustin, says, “You’ll hear top notch music as you stroll around the fairgrounds. Enjoy lovely harmonies and fiddle tunes while you visit history exhibits and demonstrations—or pull up a seat and watch The Ed Larkin Old Time Contra Dancers while you enjoy a picnic or just rest awhile. You won’t want to miss a note.”

Entertainers will include:

• he Ed Larkin Old Time Contra Dancers – oldest organized contra dance group in the U.S.

• obert Resnik & Marty Morrisey – songs about Vermont and by Vermonters

• he Speckers – legendary fiddler John Specker and his two daughters

• a-et-Vient – traditional Francophone music

• he Sky Blue Boys – mix of folk, parlor songs and more

• ick Norcross – songs about life in Vermont with a western swing

• ave Carpenter – fiddler extraordinaire.
